About the Tournament
Based on results from the recent survey, Kuusou will be having its first ever graphics tournament. The tournament will consist of three rounds. In each round, you will be required to make a different type of graphic that fit a specific category or theme. (More about that later.)
Rules
- You don't need to have a website to join, but if you do, you will need to put up a contest banner or text link before you enter.
- You have to make your own graphics.
- You can use images from any series as long as your entry fits the theme for that round.
- Your entries need to be submitted before or on the date of the dealine.
Rounds
Round 1: One 100 x 100 avatar (/20 pts)
Theme: Humor (try to make your avatar a funny one!)
Deadline: July 25, 2009
Judge: Nelson
Round 2: Two 88 x 31 buttons (/30 pts)
Theme: Contradictions (eg. one dark and one light button or one of Dr. Horrible and one of Captain Hammer)
Deadline: August 1, 2009
Judge: Yukie
Round 3: A layout (/100 pts)
Theme: Life and/or death
Deadline: August 15, 2009
Judges: Nelson, Yukie, visitors
At the end of each round, the two participants with the lowest scores will be eliminated from the tournament.

Prizes
Prizes for first place are:
- Three graphics of their choice
- A link on every page of Kuusou for a month
- A plug on every update for a month (Kuusou gets updated about 4 times a month)
- A first place award
- Option of affiliation or link exchange with Kuusou
- Website review OR coding of a layout in valid X/HTML and CSS :P
Prizes for second place are:
- Two graphics of their choice
- A link on every page of Kuusou for a month
- A plug on every update for a month (Kuusou gets updated about 4 times a month)
- A second place award
- Option of affiliation or link exchange with Kuusou
- Coding of a layout in valid X/HTML and CSS
Prizes for third place are:
- A graphic of their choice
- A link on every page of Kuusou for a month
- A plug on every update for a month (Kuusou gets updated about 4 times a month)
- A third place award
- Option to link exchange with Kuusou
All participants will receive a participation award.
